Darul Uloom Foundation is committed to creating a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for children, vulnerable adults, volunteers, staff members, beneficiaries, and visitors involved in our activities and charitable programmes.

1. Policy Statement
Darul Uloom Foundation believes that everyone has the right to participate in charitable, educational, and community activities in a safe environment. We maintain a zero-tolerance approach towards abuse, neglect, harassment, discrimination, exploitation, bullying, or any conduct that may place an individual at risk of harm.

4. Responsibilities

5. Code of Conduct
- Act honestly, professionally, and respectfully.
- Demonstrate appropriate behaviour at all times.
- Avoid abusive, discriminatory, threatening, or offensive conduct.
- Maintain appropriate communication with beneficiaries.
- Comply with safeguarding and health & safety requirements.
6. Reporting Concerns
Any safeguarding concern, allegation, accident, incident, or suspected abuse must be reported immediately to the designated safeguarding lead or authorised management representative.
Important
Concerns should never be ignored. Where there is an immediate risk of harm, emergency services or relevant authorities should be contacted without delay.
7. Health & Safety
We take reasonable steps to provide safe facilities, equipment, procedures, and event environments. Risk assessments may be carried out where necessary to minimise hazards and ensure participant safety.

8. Confidentiality
Information relating to safeguarding concerns will be handled sensitively and shared only with those who have a legitimate need to know or where disclosure is required by law.

Darul Uloom Foundation seeks to ensure that staff and volunteers receive appropriate guidance, awareness, and safeguarding training relevant to their roles and responsibilities.
10. Policy Review
This policy will be reviewed periodically to ensure compliance with current safeguarding standards, legal requirements, and organisational best practices.
